District Information

Cape Girardeau Public Schools (CGPS) is committed to providing a high quality education for every child in our school district. We believe by using a rigorous curriculum, offering an extensive range of courses, and providing a wide variety of extracurricular activities, our students will be prepared to succeed after graduation. Whether our graduates enroll in college, enter the military or workforce, or choose another post-secondary training program, we take great pride in knowing the futures of our students depend on us.

CGPS is fortunate to have the generous support of the business and faith-based communities in Southeast Missouri who recognize the importance of having a strong public school system. From monetary donations to investments of their time, our community partners play a vital role in allowing us to provide a unique educational experience for our students and families. Successful schools impact the growth of the entire region, and we are thankful to all those who have made a commitment to CGPS.
